The atmosphere inside the boardroom shifted the moment Aditya Malhotra walked in.
Conversations died. Phones were put away. Backs straightened.
Dressed in a tailored black suit, he took his seat at the head of the table, his expression unreadable and his presence commanding enough to silence an entire room without a single word.
"Begin." His voice was calm, deep, and authoritative.
The presentation started immediately.
At thirty, Aditya Malhotra was the CEO
of Malhotra Industries-one of India's largest business empires. His name appeared on the covers of business magazines, his success was appreciated by competitors also.
But admiration was never the emotion he didn't inspired the most his fear did.
"Sir, the Singapore deal is facing delays due to legal complications," one of the executives said nervously.
Aditya's cold gaze settled on him.
"Delays cost us time. Time costs us money. Resolve it within twenty-four hours."
The executive swallowed hard and nodded.
No one argued with Aditya Malhotra.
No one dared to.
He was a perfectionist, ruthless when necessary, and intolerant of incompetence.
His assistant stepped forward carefully.
"Mr. Malhotra, your schedule for the evening includes the charity gala hosted by the Sharma Foundation."
Without looking up from the documents in front of him, Aditya replied, "Cancel it."
"Mrs. Malhotra personally requested your presence, sir."
For the first time that day, his expression softened-just enough to be noticed.
"Fine I'll be there."
Because despite his cold exterior, there were two things Aditya Malhotra never ignored:
His responsibilities.
And his family.
As the meeting ended, he stood up and adjusted his watch.
Power followed him.
Silence followed him.
And fear followed him everywhere he went.
Little did Aditya know that somewhere in the same city, a woman in a white coat was unknowingly walking toward his destiny.
Dr. Vidushi Sharma.
The one person who would make the man everyone feared lose control.
